important information
annual concert:
Our annual concert is held at the end of term 4 SATURDAY 14TH & SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2024 AT THE SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY - LISMORE. All JCDance students take part in this event with concert routines starting in Term 3. Students involved in the concert are expected to commit to their weekly classes and routines for the remainder of the year from Term 3 onwards.
cONCERT costume hire:
JCDance offers a costume hire system for it’s end of year concert students. Costume hire fees are charged per costume (capped at 5 x costumes). This fee covers the hire, alterations, packing, laundering and transportation of each costume to and from THE event. All costume hire fees must be paid before each competition/ eisteddfod and/or concert.
rad ballet examinations:
RAD Ballet examinations are serious and important commitment that only selected students will take part in. These students will be contacted by their teachers/directors based on their level, work ethic and readiness for examinations. For those who are selected, extra tuition may be required leading up to exam day.
There are additional costs involved for RAD Ballet examinations and rehearsals associated with the preparation and attire required for these examinations.
private lessons:
Private lessons are available for students who wish to further their dance training and/or learn solo routines. Private lessons can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration depending on teacher availability and customer preference.
all Private lesson Rates are as follows:
30 MINUTES (1 X WEEKLY LESSON) = $425 PER TERM
45 MINUTES (1 X WEEKLY LESSON) = $590 PER TERM
60 MINUTES (1 X WEEKLY LESSON) = $750 PER TERM
A weekly private lesson time will be arranged between the relevant teacher and student/parent. This time must be committed to by the student/parent each week throughout the term. All private lessons for the current term will be invoiced to the client and must be paid for within the terms of all other dance fees (please see above).
In the circumstance that a student is unable to attend their weekly private lesson, there is an option to either SWAP the private time with another JCDance student or SELL the private time to another JCDance student. If the lesson is not able to be swapped or sold, unfortunately that lesson must still be paid for by the customer and will not be credited or made up.
The only exception to this policy is when sufficient notice is given that the student will be unable to attend this lesson. Sufficient notice is defined as notice given before the term commences or one month in advance.
In the event that your private lesson is cancelled by the teacher, your lesson will be either credited or made up at a later date.
solo comps & costumes:
Soloist students may enter into competitions/eisteddfods at the teachers discretion. Although guidance from your solo teacher will be given, the process of entering, uploading music and the costs associated with comps is the responsibility of the soloist parent/guardian. Solo costumes are also 100% the parents/soloists responsibility.
Guidance will be given from your solo teacher/ choreographer for some costumes ideas that may suit the routine/concept. Sourcing and purchasing the costume is then the parent/soloist responsibility.
